CityEngine Web Scenes and Esri Scene Layer Packages

CityEngine Web Scene (3ws) and Esri Scene Layer Package (slpk) are custom, web-optimized formats that can be viewed with Web Viewers and shared on ArcGIS Online for simple sharing.

Workflow for CityEngine Web Scene (3ws)

  1. Export CityEngine scene to a Web Scene (.3ws)
    Export CityEngine scenes to a Web Scene file using the CityEngine Web Scene exporter.
  2. Preview Web Scene
    After export, preview your Web Scene locally to make sure it contains the desired data.
  3. Publish to ArcGIS Online
    Web Scenes can be published to ArcGIS Online where you can easily share them with the world.

    Or save Web Scene and Viewer to package file
    Save a Web Scene package to a file and publish it manually to your own webserver.

Workflow for Esri Scene Layer Package (slpk)

  1. Export CityEngine scene to a Scene Package (.slpk)
    Export CityEngine scenes to a Scene Package file using the Esri Scene Layer Package exporter.
  2. Publish to ArcGIS Online
    Esri Scene Layer Packages can be published to ArcGIS Online where you can easily share them with the world.

    Esri Scene Layer Packages cannot be packaged with the viewer.

  3. Publish Esri Scene Layer Packages
    After upload you need to publish the Package in order to be able to view it.
